Owner Drive
Sept. 11-25

September 11-25 is our annual fall Owner Drive and if you refer a friend you’ll receive the same fun treats we have in store for the new community members who join during that time – a goody bag, entry in a $50 gift card drawing, and a free coffee in the Café! Bring in several of your friends and neighbors to show them what a great thing we’ve got going right here in our community.

Annual Member/Owner Meeting
Sept. 25, 6:30-8:30 pm

Your Board of Directors decided to try something new this year for our Annual Member/Owner Meeting – it will be held on a Monday night, September 25, from 6:30-8:30pm.

The theme is The Power of Participation and we’ll be talking about how we can all make a difference – through our co-op activities and individually. If you have a great story, or if you’re looking for ideas for how you can participate more fully in your co-op, in your community, and for the greater good – come along and, well, participate!

Our Deli will provide delicious light refreshments. We’ll be meeting at the Isanti County Historical Society, 33525 Flanders St NE, Cambridge. There’s no charge for the meeting, but your RSVP would be appreciated. Sign up in the store, call 763-689-4640, or email

Owner Appreciation Week
Sept. 26-Oct. 2

City Center Market member/owners – we are glad you are here and we wouldn’t be here without you! We’ll demonstrate our appreciation from September 26-October 2 by offering an extra 5% off every purchase you make that week – whether it’s soup for lunch,  10 pounds of chicken breast for a dinner party, or your usual weekly purchase of bulk oatmeal! (The extra discount doesn’t apply to special orders or items already on sale.) Shop your little socks off every day – and try a few samples while you’re here!

Our 2nd Annual Fall Fest is happening on Saturday, September 30 – and it will be a happening you won’t want to miss!

Great food – half-price pumpkin lattes in our Café, pumpkin bars and sweet potato bread from our Deli, juicy and crisp apples from local growers, and more.

Vendors from around the area with everything from handmade purses and bags to jewelry to freshly picked veggies and fruits to local syrup and honey will be here for you to taste and buy. Here’s a partial list of vendors – check on Facebook page regularly for additions --

Family activities – bean bag toss, tin can knockdown, Plinko, pumpkin painting, and more – will offer fun and fun prizes! Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve will be on hand to debut their brand-new “Science Secrets” wheel (with prizes, of course).

Scout & Morgan Books is hosting Beth Dooley with her latest book, Savory Sweet, from 11am-1pm and Bob Heavirland will return with his Tiny House on Wheels (he was a big hit last year)!

Great live and local music all day.  A new performer for us – Mike Beigle  -- will play original music and covers from Bob Seger to Simon & Garfunkle to Elvis from 9:30-11:30am, and Aubrey Olson is returning with her country/folk tunes and rich, warm voice from 12:15-2:15pm.

Quick Shopper Surveys

Thank you to everyone who has given us your ideas and comments on the three shopper surveys. We are acting on these as quickly as possible, where we can – and taking all the information into account in our planning for our Co-op’s next several months and years.

A summary of the results of Quick Shopper Survey #2 is available here (pdf). That will be the last of the surveys for a while -- we're taking all this information and figuring out how best to use it! A summary of our third survey (which just closed) will be available soon.
