March Events & Specials
We’ll be collecting donations of funds and food all month for our local Family Pathways Food Shelf. Add $1 or $5 – or any amount – to your purchases at the register and we’ll make sure it gets to Family Pathways.
Or purchase extra food (either at City Center Market or elsewhere) and put it in our donation box. You will help people like a local seven-year-old boy who struggled at school with this simple question – “What is your favorite meal for dinner?”. Raising his hand, the boy asked his teacher, “Is dinner the meal that you eat before you go to bed? We don’t have that meal in my house.”
City Center Market has a goal of raising $2,000 in funds + food during March to help Family Pathways reach their goal of $138,000 for the month.
All classes will be held at the Senior Activity Center (140 N Buchanan St, Suite 164; Cambridge). There is no charge for these classes, but advance registration is required. You can register in the store, or send an email to email@example.com.
Wednesday, March 22, 3:30-4:30 pm
Taught by Ben Rhodes, Garden of Life Midwest Sales Representative
There are a lot of protein powders and probiotics supplements available to us – how can we decide? Ben will talk about some of the differences between these products, what to look for, and some criteria to use to make our decisions.
Wednesday, March 29, 4-6 pm
Taught by Karri Tidwell,
Certified Holistic Health Coach
Tired of taking supplements and pills to cover up your symptoms? In this class you will learn about how to regenerate your cells and get to the root of the issue. Join us on March 29 to receive guidance from certified holistic health coach, Karri Abbott, to learn about wholesome eating and nutrition. The challenges we face can feel complicated, but the solution is simple. Karri will also focus on coconut oil: when to use it, how to use it, where to use it.
Karri is a certified holistic health coach and a certified detox specialist. She has been a massage therapist for more than 1 year and offers individual health coaching through her company Health Balance Love. Nourish your body, balance your life, feel the love.
